New food company, Choopoons, did not need a logo but instead needed all the accompanying items that a new company was in need of. Sell sheets, store displays, promotion items, website design, banners, even the foil lid on the package needed a design. Some branding was picked up from the existing logos and colors, but a great deal had to be figured out.

The Curious George Store, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, had closed it's doors and re-opened under new ownership in 2012. Renamed the World's Only Curious George Store, it was re-built from the ground up and needed all new branding.

This project included a new logo, signage, marketing, social media, merchandise, and window displays as well as many other related pieces.

Because the Curious George character is owned by NBC Universal, every piece designed was accomplished within the structures of the NBC Universal copyright system by closely working with the NBC Brand Assurance, Domestic Licensing, and Marketing & Creative Services departments.

A startup craft brewery in Scotland needed branding including a logo, bottle labels, and other standard company imagery. The first step was to create the logo which represents the Scottish waterfront community that's accessible by way of a mountain pass, all represented in the logo graphic. Colors were chosen to invoke the Scottish highlands as well as the specific beer styles which changes in all three varieties.

The labels depict scenes from Applecross Bay featuring the famed Inn as well as local wildlife and background islands (Illustrated by: Mairi Summers https://mairisummers.com ). The template of each label contains refined graphics from local elements. Specifically, the silhouetted islands and the Celtic style background pulled directly from a much revered ancient stone cross that resides in the Applecross church cemetery.

The three labels, when together, form a full scene (or tryptic) of Applecross Bay.

Tap handle artwork was also created for the local pub along with bottle caps, coasters, etc.

The large letter A is used in social media posts to help expose the meaning of the logo showing the Bealach Na Ba road which winds over the mountain giving access to the area.

The Electric Tree House is located in Bedford MA and takes its namesake from the beautiful natural scene surrounding the studio and visible through the windows ringing the facility. The Tree House consists of a large live room and adjoining control room, both designed by Lou Clark of Sonic Space, with isolation and recording options located throughout the building. The place was built with flexibility, performance and great sound in mind.

They needed a logo that would reflect both the connection to their name and an instant recognition to their product. The colors were chosen to mix the natural wood tone with a more contrasting visual to emphasize the sound.

The extra image of a sticker on a guitar case was Photoshopped and supplied to the customer as an example of how it might look as a when produced and used in different ways.

Customer supplied clip art as reference and wanted a professional version of it.

I included the A and V from the name so it could be used on it’s own and still retain some identity. The font chosen is a strong chiseled serif to re-enforce the company message. The colors also help show strength and security.

Hand crafted sugar scrubs and herbal products with a dark side. This brand had to reflect the wicked witch henchmen (henchmonkey?) while still being attractive enough for an herbal product line. A purple/black color swatch combined with a script font and a playful graphic did just that.
A Gothic style border was added to the product labels and other items to help emphasize the dark theme.

Commercial painters, CE Painting, wanted a new look to represent their business. Their only requirement is that it matched their existing colors and had a large 'C' with an 'e' in it.

I was lucky enough to catch a quick photo of their truck while at a stop light [below].

Become A Partner is partnership-based crowdfunding platform. They provide an online partnering matching service where entrepreneurs looking to raise financing can easily connect with partners who are seeking to discover and partner in exciting growth and startup companies.

A logo was needed to reflect their “partnership” concept and could be easily identified via social media.

For a class project only, this made up company was a job recruitment agency in the technology field. Only the name was supplied for the assignment.

A business, long standing in the community was looking for an updated approach to their outdated logo (a cartoon image of a guy sanding a floor in the letter F).

Originally thinking I would shorten the full name to F&S Floorcraft, I later relized that keeping the 'Father & Son' part of the name helped to strengthen their local appeal.

The font for 'Father & Son' was chosen to retain the charm of a local business while the font for 'FLOORCRAFT' has a chiseled look to reflect craftsmanship which the customer wanted to convey.

Investment and financial company, Foundation Wealth Management, wanted a logo to represent their new branch while reflecting their current logo. They now offer financial help for women in need of assistance while going through a change in their life.

Somerville Chamber of Commerce needed their logo updated. They wanted it to appear more modern and less business like.
One requirement was to include the town's cherished, centuries old, stone powder house tower. The color needed to match their newly designed website.

A square version was included for their social media sites.

Leaf 2 Leaf is an Urban Farming company that utilizes hydroponic systems in the retail store to grow a variety of organic produce (lettuce, basil, herbs, etc.) to provide customers with fresh-locally grown food.

This realtor changed their relationship from belonging to the ReMax group to standing on their own. Their aim to attract a high-end clientele is reflected in their new logo as well as their new name. The column graphic was a specific customer request.

These two realtors wanted to retain their last names for their company. A simple house graphic helps to emphasize their business while large letters and a slight embellishment to the 'e' and 'P' brings attention to their names.

The town of New Bedford needed a logo that would encompass their Energy Program but would still work with several off-shoot programs. A separate Solar offer, an Efficiency group and a town Challenge. All three of these had to be grouped under their EnergyNow program. I decided to use simple icons for each section and group them all under the EnergyNow heading. All three branches could then use their own icon while still identifying with the main program.

A brochure describing the different plans was also designed.
